cars, priests & haircuts
is the second part of the Halfway Home project. A trilogy that looks at how migration changes economic, religious and cultural patterns both in the receiving societies as in the issuing ones. ’Cars’ looks at the economy of the second-hand car trade between Brussels and West-Africa as an example of how migration networks can influence and shape economic patterns. (see link in menu for the book). ’Priests’ & 'Haircuts' are ongoing projects and look at religious networks and cultural changes.
