lyrical atlas
19th century Romanticism basically was the culmination point of a century-long questioning of our position and behaviour towards nature and our environment. It was also the time of the great explorers and mountaineers. Set in the Pyrenees, ‘the lyrical atlas’ is a research on how Romantic concepts still influence the way we look at nature but also if this Romanticism has changed by new ecological scientific insights in our relationship with our environment.
